Exhibition ‘In the Frame’

Dundee Heritage Trust are delighted to host the latest exhibition of photography from local group Art Angel “In the Frame” at Verdant Works.  The exhibition, will open on Saturday the 15^th of January and run until the 10^th of April.  This is the first exhibition from the Art Angel groups since the global pandemic.

Art Angel is a mental health charity which, from its inception in 1997 (as The Arts Advocacy Project) has been empowering its participants through art, writing and photography. The Photography Group encourages participants to explore familiar environments and re-appraise them in their own way, thus, raindrops on a shiny car bonnet, or peeling paint on an old door become abstract compositions, a walk around the city centre can focus (pun intended) on urban wildlife or dramatic architecture. Covid has had a significant impact group members and photographic opportunity, but they have carried on, when legally possible, with the majority of images on display have been taken “In the time of Covid”
