Scotland Stands with Europe by Knit Europe

This knitted banner is a vibrant, visual metaphor of Scotland’s solidarity with the people of Europe, it celebrates and values Scotland’s historic and current ties to Europe. The banner was produced by knitters (experts and beginners), crafters, stitchers and finishers come from countries across Europe, and from Scotland. Their different backgrounds and political persuasions are irrelevant, their common passion is to ensure Scotland‘s future in Europe.  The exhibition includes some of the knitters’ ‘stories’ which reveal the extent of links we currently have and why we must maintain them.
