Verdant Works
Dundee Heritage Trust is hugely excited to announce the first Verdant Works Dundee Garden Photography competition, with the winning photos exhibited in the stunning High Mill of Verdant Works. The competition will open for applicants from the 1st of April to the 2nd of June 2023. This free-to-enter competition is open to everyone and is divided into three age categories – Adult (18 and over), Aged 12-17 and Aged 11 and under.
The competition is a starter for the International Garden Photographer of the Year exhibition, which will run from 8th April to 27th August this year at Verdant Works. The exhibition will be presented on 28 panels, featuring select higher placed winners from the International Garden Photographer of the Year Competition 16; Including favourites such as; ‘The Beauty of Plants’, ‘Beautiful Gardens’ and ‘Plants & Planet’ plus there are five photo projects.
Participants can enter with one image, which must be captured in Dundee and at most five years from the competition entry start date. Selected winners from each category will form part of an exclusive exhibition at Verdant Works in 2023 which will be broadly promoted. There will also be special prizes for each category.
The photo competition will be based on skill, and judging will be done jointly by Dundee Heritage Trust and an independent judge. The closing date for entries will be 2nd June 2023, with winners being announced 16th June 2023.The winning entries for each category with be displayed in the High Mill until 27th August 2023.
Prizes
Selected winners from each category will form part of an exclusive exhibition at Verdant Works in 2023. There will also be special prizes on offer, as listed below.
Adult (18 and over)
First prize:
Your photograph will be displayed at Verdant Works in 2023; two tickets to the Bastille concert at Slessor Gardens and a family annual pass to Verdant Works.
Second prize:
Your photograph goes on display at Verdant Works in 2023, a £25 Garden Voucher, a £25 Amazon Gift Voucher and a family annual pass to Verdant Works
Third prize:
Your photograph goes on display at Verdant Works in 2023 £25 Amazon Gift Voucher and a family annual pass to Verdant Works.
Aged 12-17
First prize:
